The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine states:
"The presence of Mold adversely affect human health through three processes: allergy, infection and toxicity." Simply stated: mold can make you very sick and in some cases can be the cause of death. Molds are found both indoors and outdoors.
"Indoor molds result in what is commonly called "sick buildings". However, outdoor molds are generally more abundant and important in airway allergic disease than indoor molds. Allergic responses are most commonly experienced as allergic asthma or allergic rhinitis ("hay fever")."
To reduce the mold health threat, mold must be controlled wherever it grows.
